un.procedure make music with a fine brush on a huge canvas. Intensity and experimentation abound, as alto sax, synths, drums and electronics stage a ghoulish prade of soundscapes, drones and improvisation.
Comprising alto sax player Cassie Kinoshi (seed., Kokoroko), synth player Piera Onacko and drummer/electronic artist Nathan Jones, un.procedure, are an experimental-jazz-electronic outfit from Birmingham, UK. Through an avant-jazz filter, they deliver a frantic collision of free improvisation in a bed of spiralling, 70’s rock influenced grooves and heady, sci–fi tinged soundscapes. The band released their well-received debut EP in 2022 and has since gone on to fuse their live performances with artist Guri Bosh's surreal, pulsing collage projections.
Caitlin LM is an electronic producer, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist from Manchester. Her ethereal vocals and live instruments meld with pulsating synths and undulating beats to create a powerful yet intimate soundworld.
Taking inspiration from the likes of Bonobo, Jon Hopkins and Thom Yorke, her music flows from vulnerability to defiance. Her latest single ‘Evergreen’ was featured on BBC Radio 6 and BBC Introducing Manchester and Tom Robinson’s ‘Fresh On The Net’. 'as good as anything you will hear on the A-List of BBC Radio 6 Music right now. And no, that is not an exaggeration.’ - Dr Neil March, Fresh On The Net
Looking Glass Alice deliver miasmic pyschedellic pop. Live, the band combine hypnotic visuals, cascading rhythms from samplers and live drums.
A Hertfordshire ensemble hailed by the likes of AIR, Cornershop and Unloved, with a growing cult following, they use Korg synths and guitars through live tape loops. Swarm around a sultry female lead who draws you into the other side of the mirror. Acclaimed by Clash Music as “an urgent piece of pop-flecked psychedelia, deployed with confidence, intent, and no small degree of style” - to see it is to believe it.
Marco Woolf presents ‘dream setting’, a playful, immersive and interactive journey of music, dance, storytelling and improvisation.
The music that Marco Woolf makes can prove complex to categorise, his lyrics introspective and insightful - earning him a reputation as a self-evidently skilled storyteller - though thoughtful instrumentation too is just as crucial to his compositions, clearly considered to ensure it possesses comparable weight to his wording. Supported by Opera North, ‘dream setting’ sees Marco Woolf bring his music and improvisational storytelling together with contemporary dance in a show that invites the audience to be active participants in Marco's dreamlike musical world.
In the cluster of organic and urban sound dwells Wildforms, the electronic-music apparition of musician Dan Cippico - no stranger to the NightGarden stage!
Launching in early 2021 with the support from Grand Union gallery, Birmingham, Wildforms’ sound is a murmuration of mutated nature and object recordings, coarse percussion and obscure melodic materials. May 2022 marked the release of the five-track debut EP Where We Bide Now. Liquid soundscapes, mutated animal calls, rich harmony, and broken beats are united by the signature Wildforms soundworld in his first major release.
Matters are an electronic audiovisual duo from Birmingham. Since 2015, Brid Rose & Stuart Lee Tovey of Matters have weaved a dark, driving, all-encompassing sound; shifting seamlessly from film score to basement nightclub to industrial noise.
Taking a DIY approach, they produce intoxicating live shows with self-made animated visuals and immersive lighting designs.
Having previously garnered much support from BBC 6 Music & NTS Radio, they forge their sound with a multitude of synths, pedals and guitar. Matters’ signature blend of pulsing beats, soaring synths, and transcendental soundscapes are both experimental and accessible, challenging and comforting, and above all, truly captivating.

She has since grown an appreciative audience from all over the world.
